The 5 Star Blue Heron Retreat B&B is a stately home whose origin extends over 140 years. It has recently undergone complete reconstruction and renovation to include modern amenities and appointments throughout. A stately home to several generations, its grandeur and historic lines have been retained throughout this extensive reconstruction project. The building has been renovated and remodeled to become a fully modern and luxurious five star retreat from the stress and daily concerns of a busy world to the easy pace of life and the sanctuary of The Gentle Island - Prince Edward Island.

Bonus: guests of our first season, 2006, who wish to return for their 2007 Blue Heron Retreat experience will enjoy 2006 rates.
A charge of $500.00 for cleaning and refurbishing will be added should you decide to smoke in your room. This cost will cover repainting, shampooing of rugs, dry cleaning of all bedding and the labor required to return the room to the condition that we intend to provide for our non smoking guests.

CANCELLATION POLICIES
No room charges if cancelled two (2) weeks prior to occupancy date.
For cancellations less than two (2) weeks of occupancy date, a 50% room charge will apply to your reservation if the room is not re-booked.

The Blue Heron Retreat Bed and Breakfast is located within approximately 5 minutes of having crossed the Confederation Bridge into Prince Edward Island. After exiting the Bridge, proceed on the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, for less than 4km. Immediately after passing Captain Cook's Seafood outlet on your right, make a right turn onto The Blue Heron Trail, Route 10 South. Non smoking PROPERTY. No pets.
After a short drive on Route 10 of approximately 2 -3 km, turn right onto Wharf Road. If approaching from either Summerside, Route 1A, or Charlottetown, Route 1, take the second Cape Traverse exit on your left. That is The Blue Heron Trail, Route 10 South. Once on Route 10, Blue Heron Trail, proceed as directed above.
