Description |

The Romany Rest is a beautifully restored, 120-year old country farmhouse B&B with outdoor swimming pool, set in five acres with views of the Cardigan River. We are rated as Four Star by Canada Select and are a member of the Green Hotels Association.
We are situated between Cardigan and Georgetown in Eastern PEI minutes from beaches, golf, theatre, trails and restaurants.
Food is local and/or organic where possible and we welcome the opportunity to cook for special diets. Breakfast includes fruit from our own gardens, island potato hash, home-cooked ham, & delicious local sausages and bacon and our home-made farmhouse cheeses. We grow or produce as much of our own food as possible using organic permaculture, and keep hens, ducks and sheep.
The two luxury B&B rooms are suitable for two people and our 2 1/2* cottage annex is big enough for a family. The cottage comes with its own unique extra - you have the use of our romany wagon as extra camping space!
B&B guests are welcome to use our computer with internet access, fax, copier, printer and scanner, located in the Dining Room. In the sun-lounge, there are books, DVDs and games for you to borrow and enjoy and laundry facilities, iron & ironing board are available on request.
Your hosts, Sandra and Fred, originally come from Wales in the United Kingdom, where a few Romany travelling folk still tour the country lanes in their beautiful horse-drawn wagons. At the end of a day on the road, the travellers gather wood and light a fire for supper and then it's time to relax. |

We are a 35 minutes from Charlottetown, Hwy 1 until the Montague left turn onto Rte 3 East (approx 20 km). Keep going on Rte 3 until you pass the Rodd Brudenell Resort on your right and then take the next left (Bovyer Road) and at the end of that road turn right. We are about half a mile on your left.
We are 30 minutes from the Wood Island Ferry. From the Ferry take Route 315 to Montague. At Montague turn left onto Route 4 North to Poole's Corner. Then take a right on Route 3 East to Georgetown. Continue on this road until you pass the Rodd Brudenell Resort on your right and then Brudenell Cottages on your left. Take the next left (Bovyer Road) and at the end of that road turn right. We are about half a mile on your left.
We are 40 minutes from the Souris Ferry. From the Ferry take Route 2 to Dingwell Mills and then turn left onto Route 4 South (in the Direction of Cardigan) until you get to Poole's Corner.
